The Hosts of Laos campaign is a part of the Skills for Tourism project under the Technical Vocational Education & Training Department (TVED) of the Ministry of Education and Sports, Lao PDR.
The campaign was launched in late 2020 to centralise and highlight useful information, advice, and tips about the exciting career of tourism and hospitality in Laos. This website, in particular, will act as a guide to discovering the various educational and economic opportunities surrounding this industry.
We sincerely believe that every worker in tourism and hospitality, irrespective of nature or rank, has the important role of representing his and her country on the world stage. This duty is instantiated at every level of interaction between guest and host. Therefore, to elevate ourselves as ambassadors of the nation, to partake in the welcoming of guests, is of utmost value and is equivalent to our moral duty as the Hosts of Laos.
