About This Course:

A Tourism Operations degree requires learning to manage travel arrangements for both domestic and foreign tourists, as well as coordinating clients, hotels, restaurants, and tourist attractions as part of organising travel plans for customers. Tourism is an industry that is a very important driver of the national and local economy to generate income and better living conditions for the people of Laos.

Objectives:
  • Provide students with knowledge, skills and experience in line with professional standards in order to carry out professional work effectively to suit the needs of the labour market
  • Provide students with encouragement to be creative, solve problems, and able to perform professional tasks at the level they have completed
  • Build students’ interpersonal skills, morals, and work ethic

On completion of the course, students will have learned how to:

  • determine components of domestic tourism and overseas tourism
  • be an entrepreneur in the tourism and service industry
  • use  principles of tourism management and communication equipment for tourism 
  • provide tour guide services as a tour guide
  • book flights and rooms via the internet
  • be a travel agent, plan tours, and arrange tours
